The months of summer 2021 introduce a brand new degree of uncertainty as to how we will continue to maintain the crucial human connection that was enjoyed by Rotary during the past. While the adage of 'hands in face space' will undoubtedly be part of our ongoing routine it is apparent that trust is growing and face-to-face reconnections are being made. The Rotary organization has evolved. As we move into in the summer of 2021 there is a lot of doubt regarding how Rotary will be able to give the same kind of connection that Rotary members experienced in the in the past persists. But it's clear that the hand-to-face ritual is going to remain a part of Rotary's routine. Rotary is changing too. Rotary's network creates friendships which last. The pandemic served as our catalyst to adopt technology. As we continue to use our online meetings to conduct business and social interactions, we've brought back the concept of interactions with others and serve using a safe face-to-face way. We've embraced the newest opportunities, and have combined these with our pre-pandemic habits to make an exciting new direction for Rotary! According to an Rotary survey 75% of members are planning their business-as-usual activities. The article is in English. Amanda Watkin is the General Secretary of Rotary Magazine. It was a pleasure to hear that, according to a recent Rotary survey seventy percent of members were thinking about their usual activities and community projects that were useful to communities across Great Britain. I'm equally pleased that our Rotary Support Centre staff continues to supply valuable information and resources that help promote these many projects and maintain the infrastructure that keeps members and the public safe Compliance and insurance are essential. We are aware that volunteering through the network of Rotary builds lasting relationships based upon the experience shared volunteering for the community's benefits. The creativity of our members and innovative thinking in dealing with some of life's toughest problems is amazing. I am grateful for the opportunities Rotary gave me with in 2002, to be an official participant. Rotary also has provided me with a great group of people who are like-minded. I am thankful for this. We must now spread the word about Rotary by inviting our friends, family and co-workers to become members.
